Supporting families in crisis
Children With Cancer Fund – Polegate is a small charity based in Sussex supporting families who have a child diagnosed with cancer. Receiving such traumatic news can have a profound effect on the parents who then often struggle to process their feelings, and come to terms with their child’s diagnosis.
Mental health support for these families is vital to their recovery no matter what the outcome, and for this reason Focus Foundation has approved a grant application for £6,440 for parents who need that support and guidance. This will be provided by Brighton Therapy Centre who have previously received a grant from us, and the help will be for the parents of the children which also include some Focus Group staff.
